Everyone has moments of anxiety and worry in their life, but when these moments overwhelm you and interfere with your ability to enjoy your life, this is problematic. Anxiety can manifest in the form of panic attacks or can be triggered by social situations, public speaking, flying, heights, driving, or being in small spaces. Anxiety can also be experienced as broad, diffuse, and free floating. To learn more, CLICK HERE..

Depression is one of the most common mental health disorders, affecting about one in three Americans in our lifetime, and up to 17% at any one time. Depression looks different for everyone. Some people notice they have no joy or interest in life or their usual activities; others feel so lonely or blue that they feel hopeless and worthless. Some people suffering from depression experience difficulty sleeping or eating, while others want to sleep or eat continually. Depression can be caused by many factors, including physical illness, disease, or injury and personal losses, regrets, or interpersonal difficulties. To learn more, CLICK HERE.

Life throws all of us challenges that can be hard to face alone. Having someone to deeply listen and help you process these difficult emotions can be helpful. Feelings of anxiety, sorrow, regret and loss of purpose are some common feelings when facing major life transitions. These transitions can include becoming an adult and leaving the home, gender transition, “coming out” to friends and family as LGTBQ, marriage or commitment to a partner, becoming a parent/parenting, divorce, loss of a loved one, confronting end-of-life or major health changes, retirement, or having your children leave the home. Trauma can interrupt and derail people’s lives. Traumatic events might include a physical assault or rape, a terrible injury or car wreck, major losses and injuries due to a natural disaster, or life-threatening events experienced repeatedly in your work (e.g., as a first responder or military work). Often these events can continue to echo in your life. Memories of trauma can intrude and haunt you as if they happened moments ago. This can lead to chronic anxiety, depression, feelings of numbness, irritability, and avoidance of anything that might remind you of that experience. To learn more, CLICK HERE.

For some people, anxiety can develop into sticky patterns or loops of thinking and behavior that can make a person feel chained to these patterns with little freedom. OCD can severely impact your quality of life and negatively impact your closest relationships. To learn more, CLICK HERE.

Ketamine and other psychedelic substances (MDMA, psilocybin) are proving to be helpful in the treatment of many challenging mental health issues including treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and chronic pain. Studies demonstrate repeatedly that the beneficial outcomes of these medicines depend on the inclusion of psychotherapy for lasting benefits. I have completed intensive training and certification and can provide individual psychotherapy to those undergoing Ketamine infusions currently. As other treatments become FDA approved and available, I plan to offer preparation, psychotherapy, and integration work for those working with other medicines (e.g., MDMA, psilocybin).
